Elinur: Top ten myths about introverts →
jerrybrito:
Myth #1 – Introverts don’t like to talk. This is not true. Introverts just don’t talk unless they have something to say. They hate small talk. Get an introvert talking about something they are interested in, and they won’t shut up for days.
Myth #2 – Introverts are shy. Shyness…

Stephanus Hamy "Jambi to Bali" Fashion Show Review
Okay, I know I’m so late to post the review of Hamy’s fashion show “Jambi to Bali”, but better late than never, eh?
The show was held in Harris Hotel Jakarta on May 17th. The show duration took about 20minutes (since it was a single designer fashion show), and Hamy presented around 30 creations (if I’m not miscounted) both for female and male collections.
As far as...

Too excited for fashion show!
Tomorrow is going to be a big day for me and Tria (designer of Rana Experimental), as we both will be attending a fashion show by Stephanus Hamy! Well, if you’ve never heard his name, he is an Indonesian fashion designer. I always love his designs because he can mix batik, tenun, and other traditional Indonesian fabrics into a clean-cut, colorful, yet wearable design.
Besides working for...

Inacraft 2011
I received few texts from my friends who asked me about Inacraft 2011 - the biggest Indonesian handicraft exhibition. So, I think it’s going to be better for me to write my experience here than replying texts one by one :D Actually this year’s exhibition was very very crowded! With so many Indonesian artists, designers, and industry owners participating at this event, thus it attracts...

There's a bit of music in me
I haven’t touch my piano for YEARS!
But I finally play my piano again today! Just like another music instruments lessons, when you stop practicing your skill and your memory are unlikely to stay.
It is really sad I know, my parents sent me to music course since I was four years old. But I never practice seriously, I was so lazy back then, well I still am. Haha! My father really wants one...

Prosumer camera
Hey guys, what do you think about prosumer camera?
I’m currently looking for a budget friendly digital camera. Hahaha..!
My boyfriend says don’t buy prosumer, and it’s better to go pro and buy dslr. Zzz.
Since I don’t intend to go pro at all, so I think it will be enough for me to have a prosumer like G10, nikon p7000, or lx3. I’m looking for a second hand one...

Kebaya Encim
Kebaya encim is a classic piece that every Asian woman should own! At least you have one in your cupboard. It’s usually made of light material, with simple embroidery accent. White kebaya encim is a must have item, it’s just like a white shirt, never goes out of style! You can just mix and match it with almost everything; sarung, skirt, pants, or even skinny jeans!
Here are pics of...

ifjakartathenpapaya:
Batik refers to fabric that has been dyed using a wax-resist technique. In other words, a design is applied to cloth in wax, then the cloth is dyed, and the dye doesn’t penetrate the wax design, thus leaving a pattern. There are a variety of techniques, styles and traditions of batik emanating…

My brand new project
Hi all,
How’s your weekend? How’s Java Jazz?
I skip Java Jazz Festival this year :( The reason is because I’m concentrating on my new project. So, most of my saving goes to the project, so I have no money left for jazz this month. Sad, rite?
Anyhow, I am soooo excited for my new project! Clue: it’s something related to fashion design thing. This time I handle most of the...

I love Milk Magazine
A week ago, I went to Periplus Bookstore with my boyfriend.
He just wanted to checkout the latest Time magazine, while I was just looking for local Elle magazine. But, it turned out the bookstore did not sell the local Elle, so I just looked around and see if I could find anything interesting.
In the magazine rack, I found a big, thick, magazine with kids on the cover, and that magazine named...

Batik on Fimela.com
Have you ever heard about fimela.com?
It’s the new Indonesian women’s online magazine. Well, there are actually a lot of women’s online magz made by Indonesians, but Fimela is the one that can really attract my eyes. I like the clean-cut design, band-with friendly website. But, not only that, Fimela has been actively publishing articles and photos of Indonesian local designers...

It's so awesome to know that you collect batik prints. I supposed you're Indonesian? I'm a Singaporean and getting a wider range of batik prints is really hard to find. I've always dreamed of going Indonesia to explore all about batik prints and it's origins there. Browsing through books about them is not as exciting and fun as being there and...

Short hair ideas
Finding a hair style that suits me is as hard as finding the hair stylist that knows what’s best for me. My hair hasn’t change that much since I was in kindergarten, can you believe it? It’s always either simply short like Demi Moore’s look in 90’s or simply bob. I dyed my hair once when I was in junior high, and my hair became unhealthy because of the chemical thing...

The batik collector
I’ve been collecting batik for around two years. I usually go batik hunting at the market, batik gallery, batik exhibition, or even online shops. Now I have almost 20 pieces of batik fabric that I collect. I don’t want to sew them. I just store them in my cupboard. Every time I feel bored or stressed out, I open my cupboard, spend some time to look at my collections, and I feel happy!...

Aren't we all aging?
Time flies fast!
I cannot believe that some of my friends who are only a year or two years older than me already had kids.
Friends who are about the same age, are about to prepare for wedding parties!
A friend who never been in a relationship and anti-commitment, finally had her first crush.
A friend who was very popular as a playboy in high school, is now confirmed to be a gay.
Yeah, time...
